Top-paying jobs are snagged by seasoned professionals! Let us correct you if you think this way! Here is one such story of a fourth-year engineering student who toiled hard and landed a coveted package at Intuit. Here are the whys and the wherefores of her journey of getting placed.

Getting a good placement early in a career is every student’s dream. But, what about the placement of INR 32 LPA! Wouldn't it be great? Such is the case with one of the students of NIT Delhi. Ritika Singh, a final year student of Computer Science has been selected by an American financial software company, Intuit via an off-campus hiring drive D2C Recruitables.

40+ top companies like Walmart, Myntra, Intuit, Tata Class Edge, Country Delight, Juspay pitched in for the hiring of Software Development Engineering full-time roles and internships across engineering colleges in India via D2C Recruitables, but Ritika had her eyes on securing a seat in Intuit. It was her unwavering dedication and go-for-it spirit that made her compete with the brightest minds across the country!

Intuit being a leading technology platform for providing tax prep, small business accounting, and personal financial management is cherry-picked by software engineers time and after. Intuit, one of the participating companies in the D2C Recruitable off-campus hiring drive pitched in for recruiting students for the position of a Software Engineer Intern, with an offer of converting it to a full-time role later. The company opened its doors to work in the areas including Full Stack, Front-End, Back-End, Security, DevOps, or Mobile.

Becoming a part of 4K+ technologists at Intuit

Being inclined towards medical, Ritika surprisingly opted for a non-medical background in her 11th standard. She was never been so sure about her career choice until after she cracked JEE and secured a seat in NIT Delhi. All she knew was that computer science has great potential, and she will take it as her graduation stream. Unlike others, she had no idea about how vast the industry is, what are the companies, what does software development engineers do, etc.

SDE job at intuit worth 32 LPA via D2C Recruitables

If you think that she is a born-coder, then my friend, NO! She did not know any programming language and felt lagging way behind. But it was the day she figured out how her peers are working on their skills, she never looked back. With the help of her seniors, and other resources available online she started learning new skills and programming languages. On this she says,

I started participating in contests and hackathons to see where I stand! And with time my performance started to improve. However, the placement season did not kick start on a very high note. The offers I received from on-campus were not up to my expectations. My hunger to do better, pushed me to register in D2C Recruitables! For a moment I could not believe that so many companies are participating under one single roof. This gave me a chill down the spine, provided the tough competition against other participants. But the moment I heard about my selection at Intuit, all the hard work paid off!

All thanks to the D2C Recruitables mail that compelled me to register at it and eventually land my dream company.

She is looking forward to interacting with Intuit's senior leaders, learning directly from their business partners, and leveraging their unique business practices all while taking on rigorous assignments!

Off-campus drives - challenging but rewarding

During an exclusive interview with Unstop (formerly Dare2Compete) she said that it takes courage and firm determination to sit for an off-campus drive but they are worth the effort!

When asked about her experience of interviews to date, she said that the skills she acquired via hackathons and internships helped her a lot in getting placed at Intuit. Because they focus a lot on one's projects! In addition to that she said, often students feel peer pressure when their friends get placed before them. She advised, "Don't let your confidence fall low and see every failure as an opportunity. Remember, it’s never too late to do anything. It is just about getting out of your comfort zone and believing in yourself."

Ritika's 3 golden tips for upcoming aspirants:

  • Do one thing at a time. Don’t spread yourself too thin, it becomes stressful.
  • Create good connections on LinkedIn, and build a strong profile. Stay active!
  • A good resume is very important. Ask friends and seniors to do resume reviews. And don't think that just one design will fit every job application - NO.

Certainly, Ritika has made everyone proud by achieving such a great placement. Everyone congratulated Ritika and her parents for their daughter’s great achievement and wished her to achieve more heights in his future endeavors.

Ritika's accomplishment will serve as an example to many other college students!

D2C Recruitables, the biggest scam pulled off ever. Even after being 99 percentile you don't get any further company test links leave alone interviews. They showed Juspay is gonna hire via recruitables but currently it is having its own drive on thier platform itself but dont want anything from d2c recruitables because they also know how big of a scam d2c is running with the recruitables.

I did all the questions, still 87 I finished in quite less time, I remember. And they filter comments as well I posted this comment in the D2C Recruitables section and I can see that it's there but others can't when I asked someone to check. You can see the discussions too, my comment won't be visible there. So need to expose this scam on LinkedIn so that people don't waste so much of time in such nonsense.

Totally agree!!!! The only emails I have received are for D2C's own recruitment and for no other company. The whole process has no transparency!
