This is why Pranam Shetty is my superhero at SIESCOMS -By Natasha D'souza from SIESCOMS Mumbai
Pranam Shetty: My true superhero at SIESCOMS
But, Pranam Shetty, Student Council Member of PGDM A, Batch (2018-20), is my true superhero. Electing him as the member was one of the wisest decisions by our entire batch. At first, we all had our own judgments but as we became more familiar with him, he seemed to be a pretty nice guy. He was the first one to celebrate birthday parties on the campus and organize farewell for our seniors. He is an inspiring soul who has always treated everyone on the same level.
During the annual campus fest, Virtualities, the sponsorship committee couldn’t arrange enough funds. It was Pranam who took ownership and made things possible. He has extraordinary presentation skills, and that’s the reason why our college chooses him as a frontman during the placement sessions.
The major reason for him being my superhero is that whenever the timings of guest lecturers and exams used to clash, he would use his negotiation skills to cancel the workshops at the last moment. He is a great leader in our class and initiates several activities. He even motivates others to take part in these activities so that no one is left out. Also, he would make sure that all the announcements he made were clear to everyone. Whenever we needed space to practice for various competitions, Pranam has always been there to make arrangements.
Pranam teaches underprivileged children
Not only this, he is a part of Bigger Than Life NGO and teaches underprivileged children over the weekends. The trait of loyalty makes him a modern-day hero because he is always loyal to his family and friends. His wisdom and positivity inspire me to be a positive soul like him.
Pranam is a normal teenager just like me. We both face typical teenage problems regarding dating, academics, and parents. We’re learning about the intricacies of life. I feel lucky to have a friend like him. Whenever I meet Pranam I feel confident. I get this positive energy to help others. He has taught me that I am capable of making a good change in someone’s life. Although we are closer than we were before, I always think about the lessons I learned from him over the years. Now, I am an open-minded person. Also, he taught me that heroes are who we define them to be, but in essence, these heroes are the ones who define us.
