Top engineering colleges to take admissions on the basis of JEE Main 2020 scores

The JEE Main 2020 examination was recently successfully held from 1st September 2020 till 6th September 2020. The exam, which concluded yesterday, was carried out in two different sessions in a day. On the basis of marks secured in the JEE Main 2020, candidates will now be eligible to get admitted into various top engineering colleges of India, including thirty-one NITs, twenty-three IIITs and twenty-three GFTIs. The cut-offs of different engineering colleges will soon be out and candidates can then fill the admission forms.

However, the scores of JEE Main 2020 will not only be used as a criterion for admission into NITs, IIITs and GFTIs, but also into other private colleges, reputed universities and institutes who will use these scores to admit eligible candidates into their B.E. and B.Tech programmes. Many states such as Jharkhand, Odisha, Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Bihar, Punjab, Uttarakhand and Nagaland will also take into consideration the JEE Main 2020 scores for admission into the engineering courses.

For the various NITs, IIITs and GFTIs, the JEE Main 2020 counseling is conducted by JoSAA (Joint Seat Allocation Authority) while the private universities,  reputed institutes and the states conduct their own counseling sessions. Aspiring candidates have to check the state admission portals in order to apply for the available seats. As far as the private colleges and universities are concerned, willing candidates are required to go on their official websites and apply via the admission links available.
