When looking for a job, students often aspire for working in a company with supportive leadership, great learning opportunities, brag-worthy perks, inclusive culture, and perhaps - a company that is nothing short of amazing! This may seem a tough row to hoe but we’ve pulled together a list of top 10 companies that are straight out of every MBA graduate's dreams.

As per the recently launched D2C Employer Branding Report 2021, B-School students displayed an array of interesting thoughts behind selecting the company to work with. If you are wondering that compensation is always at the top of the mind of the graduates when applying for a job, then that's not the case (because there are so many things to consider!) Several surprising discoveries came to light regarding the important attributes of a job profile for students, the sector they’d like to work in, the type of engagements they prefer, and more. 

Before we reveal the rankings of the top 10 dream companies the young MBA graduates want to work for, here are some intriguing findings that influence the decision of the students:

  • 81% of B-Schoolers like to have only one to two interactions with the company to understand it better before deciding to build a career in that company.

  • 69% of B-School students believe that the company’s culture impacts the brand reputation in their minds.

  • The decision of MBA students for choosing a company depends on their growth within the company and the salary & benefits offered by them.

  • Students who want to interact with an employee who started at entry-level and built a career in that company while interacting with Senior Leadership come at the bottom of this list.

  • As per the D2C Campus Employer Branding Report 2021, 72% of B-School students are concerned about having lesser companies on campus due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

By this time, you must have got an idea that a lot depends on what the MBA students value the most! Apart from the company’s size, stability, and growth, its leadership & people, and good training programs, students consider the following attributes before applying for a job. (in descending order)

Companies hire from top B-Schools their future leaders and it is of utmost importance for them to be desirable by these young minds. When it comes to the engagement methods that work the best for B-Schoolers, competitions of all kinds - Case-Study, Quizzes, Simulations, etc rank as their all time favourite engagement activity. 

B-Schoolers  ranked competitions of all kinds - Case-Study, Quizzes, Simulations, etc. as their all-time favorite engagement activity to connect and engage with recruiters followed by placement talks. Though this preference changes for top 10 B-Schools, where Informal Alumni Talks and 1-on-1 Engagement - Buddy Project are preferred over placement talks. In contrast, students from all other B-Schools place Informal Alumni Talks and Leadership Lectures in the third and fourth positions.
