What makes the IMT Ghaziabad Marketing World Cup so special?

As dusk draws down across the reddish hue of the sky, the mind wanders- to random thoughts regarding placement seasons, to random thoughts regarding the continuous hustle and bustle (and ironically, monotonous) of B-school life, to random thoughts regarding the day-in-day-out pattern of working one’s way through assignments, projects and studies, and the list of thoughts go on and on and on.

However, there’s another way to success...a different ball game, where it takes grit, talent and passion to solve real-life and fictional scenarios, to test one’s business mettle and go somewhat beyond textbooks. That being the IMT Ghaziabad Marketing World Cup, a 48-hour face-off between the top B-school inhabitants which includes some brain-teasing case studies and on-the-spot events.

It makes sense to take that path, if one is ready to endure the hardest of hardships, for a chance to be crowned the champion. Read on to find out what you'll have to tackle to capture the crown:

    • Teams should comprise of 3-5 members.
    • The entire competition will entail 3 case study events, 2 on-the-spot(OTS) events and 1 online event.
    • Interested students can register for the Marketing World Cup our page setup on the D2C website(link given below). Registration is compulsory.
    • On-the-spot events will have a separate registration procedure.
    • The team name should not resemble the name of your institution or its location.
    • The winner will be decided based on the scores accumulated from various events.
    • All team members must belong to the same institution and bring their college ID cards along with them.
    • All events will be executed between 12th - 21st December 2019 at IMT Ghaziabad Campus.

The points breakdown for each event is as follows:

Neuherbs Neulife

    • Winners - 100
    • First Runners Up - 75
    • Second Runners Up - 50

Brand Doharis

    • Winners - 100
    • First Runners Up - 75
    • Second Runners Up - 50

Set the Stage

    • Winners - 100
    • First Runners Up - 75
    • Second Runners Up - 50

Wall Street Warriors: OTS Event 1

    • Winners - 50
    • First Runners Up - 35
    • Second Runners Up - 20

Line of Fire: OTS Event 2

    • Winners - 75
    • First Runners Up - 50
    • Second Runners Up - 25

Pitch Perfect: Online Event

    • Winners - 30
    • First Runners Up - 20
    • Second Runners Up - 10

The team with the highest point tally at the end of the above rounds will wear the crown of the champion.

The champions will receive prizes worth Rs 35,000.
The runners up will receive prizes worth Rs 20,000.

Apart from these prizes, individual event winners shall receive prizes as well.

The deadline for registrations is 6 PM 12th December 2019.
