Women are flaunting their hack with Myntra HackerRamp: WeForShe

Myntra champions diversity and fosters a pervasive culture of inclusivity. It sees the value in that very thing, as shown by the fact that women account for more than half of their client base. WeForShe reflects on their continuous efforts toward creating equitable growth for women. As a part of this initiative, Myntra conducts HackerRamp: WeForShe - an opportunity for all women coders from engineering colleges across the country to create and innovate through technology.

This year, Myntra welcomed every women's college across India to their women-centric hackathon HackerRamp: WeForShe. To get down to the brass tracks we bring you the complete rundown of the extravaganza!

A thorough framework to look for the absolute best!

Myntra HackerRamp: WeForShe offers a platform for young developers to not only unleash their innovative self and bring their inventions to life, but also to ideate and execute a practical working project with professional mentoring from Myntra. To funnel down all the registrations to the absolute best, the competition was divided into four phases.

Phase 1 was the ideation round where the teams selected any one or a maximum of two themes of their choice. The teams then came up with interesting solves. In the next phase, all the teams implemented a fully functional prototype of the solution proposed in Phase 1 and made it demo-ready.

The third phase was pre-finale during which the teams were assigned a mentor for creating a working model to be presented to the jury. All the shortlisted teams then advanced to the last phase, the grand finale, where the 7 finalists put their best foot forward and competed for the winner's crown!

And we are the geek goddess...

This year, Myntra  HackerRamp: WeForShe witnessed a cut-throat competition among 6000+ teams from 290 colleges. But only a few of them across the country were able to seize the opportunity to learn from the best and build innovative solutions to one of the most challenging problems in the Industry.

The top 7 finalists who qualified for the grand finale were as follows:

Team Name

College

But three teams among the top 7 finalists went the extra mile and made everyone applaud for their solutions. The winning crown of the Myntra HackerRamp: WeForShe was bagged by the team Mystic Maidens followed by the team 404 Found (First Runner-up) and the team Hack Elite (Second Runner-up). As disclosed earlier, the winners received attractive prizes along with PPIs and Certificate of Merit.
