CALL FOR ARTICLES FOR MARKATHON - MARKETING MAGAZINE OF IIM SHILLONG- JANUARY ISSUE

DETAILS OF THE COMPETITION:

We are inviting articles for our January 2015 Issue from all the B-schools of India. The articles can be specific to the regular sections of Markathon which includes: 

• Perspective: Articles related to development of latest trends in marketing arena.

• Productolysis: Analysis of a product from the point of view of marketing.

• Strategic Analysis: A complete analysis of the marketing strategy of any company or an event.

Apart from above, out of the box views related to marketing are also welcome.

Please keep in mind that we will only consider those articles which are exclusively written for this magazine and not published elsewhere. Also please note that for the perspectives section, we are more interested in your take on the events and not just what happened.

RULES:

Articles

1. Mention your name, institute/organization with the article.

2. The number of authors can be 3 at max.

3. Format: Font - Times New Roman, Size - 12, Word Limit - 2000 in word doc/ docx.

4. Plagiarized articles will not be accepted.

5. Entries should be named

Silent Voice (Print Ad competition)

Topic –: “Great Online Shopping Festival (GOSF)”

1. Mention your name, institute/organization name with the entry.

2. Entry should be in landscape mode and in .jpeg/.png format.

3. There should not be more than 2 members in a team.

4. One person can be involved in only one team.

5. Entry should be named as SilentVoice__.

 

Eye 2 Eye (View/Counterview)

Topic- “Is SpiceJet’s ‘Shrink to Grow’ a wise decision or a failed attempt at survival?”

1. Only one person per entry is allowed.

2. Word limit is 250-300.

3. Please send a formal photograph of yours in jpeg format along with the entry. Entries without photograph will be discarded.

Kindly adhere to all the rules mentioned above.

 

Corporate Speaks (Corporates only, Not for students)

1. Mention your name, and organization name with the article.

2. The number of authors can be 3 at max.

3. Format: Font - Times New Roman, Size - 12, Length <= 5 Pages in word doc/ docx.

4. Plagiarized articles will not be accepted.

5. Entries should be named

PRIZES:

The best article will receive a letter of appreciation with a cash prize of Rs. 1000/-

Silent Voice winner will receive a letter of appreciation along with a cash prize of Rs. 500/. The two selected entries for Eye2Eye (view/counterview) will receive letters of appreciation along with cash prize of Rs. 500 each.
