Cosmic canvas captures the awe-inspiring beauty and vastness of the cosmos, often blending science and imagination to depict celestial landscapes, cosmic phenomena, and futuristic visions. Through vibrant colors, surreal compositions, and a sense of cosmic wonder, space art invites viewers to explore the mysteries and possibilities of the universe.
Unleash your inner astronomer and artist! Cosmic Canvas is a digital art competition blasting off to find the most captivating space masterpieces. Express your vision with vibrant nebulae, majestic planets, or fantastical alien creatures. All skill levels are welcome! Submit your digital artwork and be a part of our cosmic gallery. Eligibility:
- This event is open to all.
Rules and Guidelines:
- Participation is limited to individual entries.
- All participants must create original artwork that is entirely their own creation.
- Plagiarism, including the use of copyrighted materials, is strictly prohibited.
- Any form of plagiarism will result in disqualification from the competition.
- Candidates can refer to Digital art forms like Computer Graphics, Digital Painting, Vector Art, Fractals and Algorithms, Integrated Art, Pixel Art, etc.
Art Medium:
- Digital drawing tablets.
- Graphic design software like Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator.
- 3D modeling software like Blender or Maya.
- Digital painting software like Procreate or Corel Painter.
Submission:
- Multiple entries are acceptable.
- The format of the artwork should be in .jpg/.jpeg or .png format.
- Multiple entries should be combined in a single PDF and then need to be uploaded in PDF format.
- Photo manipulation of any kind is NOT allowed, and submitted images should be without any filter.
Judging Criteria:
Artwork submissions would be judged on the following criteria:
- Artistic Quality: The artwork should exhibit a certain level of artistic merit and creativity. Submissions that demonstrate skillful execution, creativity, and originality are more likely to be posted and evaluated.
- Visual Appeal: The artwork should be visually engaging and appealing. Art pieces that showcase aesthetic qualities and demonstrate a thoughtful composition will have a higher chance of being featured.
- Completeness: Submitted artwork must be complete and not in a rudimentary stage, such as rough sketches or incomplete works.

About Indian Institute of Technology, Banaras Hindu University (IIT - BHU)
- The Indian Institute of Technology (Banaras Hindu University), Varanasi is situated on the campus of Banaras Hindu University spread over nearly 1300 acres at the southern end of the ancient city of Varanasi on the banks of the holy river Ganga.
- The Banaras Hindu University was established by Mahamana Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya Ji in the year 1916.
- This Banaras Hindu University has teaching and research facilities in over 135 diverse disciplines including ancient history, oriental learning, performing and fine arts, management, science, social sciences, etc.
- Later on, BHU started engineering education by being the first in the country to start degree courses in mining, metallurgy, ceramic engineering and pharmaceutics with the establishment of the College of Mining and Metallurgy and the College of Technology in the year 1923 and 1932 respectively.
- In 1969, the above three colleges were amalgamated to form the Institute of Technology.
- On 29th June 2012, the Institute of Technology, Banaras Hindu University (IT-BHU), got converted into Indian Institute of Technology (Banaras Hindu University), Varanasi by the Government of India, New Delhi.
