All that you need to know about Festember 12
Festember is the annual inter-college inter national-level cultural festival of the National Institute of Technology, Trichy. It is held annually in the third week of September when college students from all over India participate in various cultural, literary and artistic events to compete for the "Festember Rolling Trophy". The origin of the word Festember is "A Fest To Remember" .
A glimpse of the Events

Festember started around thirty years ago, and over the years it has become one of the most sort after cultural fests of the country.

- The National Institute of Technology (formerly known as Regional Engineering College) Tiruchirappalli (NITT) is situated in the heart of Tamil Nadu on the banks of the river Cauvery.
- It was started as a joint and co-operative venture of the Government of India and the Government of Tamil Nadu during 1964 with a view to catering to the needs of manpower in technology for the Country.
- The institution was granted Deemed University status with the approval of the University Grants Commission, the All India Council for Technical Education and the Government of India in the year 2003 and was renamed as National Institute of Technology.
- The institution offers undergraduate courses in 10 branches and postgraduate courses in 21 disciplines of science, engineering & technology besides M.S. (by Research) and Ph.D. in all the departments.
