RoboWars: Stages and Timelines
Submission Round
Participants must submit a portfolio of their robot, including a written abstract and an image, CAD Model, or the video of the working model, prior to the competition. The teams are required to submit the abstract online, the details of which will be conveyed at a later date.
Final Round (Offline)
This will be a Offline round in IIT Indore campus
All that you need to know about RoboWars
Robowars: An electrifying robotics competition where participants design, build, and unleash battle-ready robots in a high-intensity arena, testing engineering, strategic thinking, and innovation as machines go head-to-head.
Bot specifications and Weight Categories:
- The robot must be controlled by a wireless controller
- The remote control is excluded from the weight calculation
- Two weight categories are established:
- 8 kg ∓ 0.5 kg
- 15 kg ∓ 0.5 kg
Team Specifications:
- Any team can participate in Robowars, IIT Indore
- A team may consist of a maximum of 6 participants. These participants can be from the same or different institutes
- Team Name: Every team must have a unique name. Organizers reserve the right to reject entries from any team whose name it deems inappropriate, offensive, or conflicting. Organizers must be notified if a team's name has been changed
Event Structure:
- Participants have to submit a folder by 25th February, 2025. The folder should consist of the following:
- Abstract Report: A written document on the battle bot describing the weapon system, power system, and all other technical specifications
- Video Submission: A video file showcasing the mobility and functioning of the battle bot. This should be at least a minute long and should highlight the working weapon systems used
- Shortlisted teams would be participating in the offline round at IIT Indore
General Guidelines:
- There is no registration fee for any round
- All entries should be original work. Plagiarism of any kind is not allowed, and the participant will be immediately disqualified if found
- The presentation round will be held offline at the IIT Indore campus, Simrol. The details of the final round will be circulated to the shortlisted teams
- Accommodation will be available during the event.
- All participants are expected to adhere to a code of conduct that promotes professionalism, ethical behavior, and respect for fellow participants

About Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Indore
- Indian Institute of Technology Indore (IITI), established by the Government of India in 2009, is located in Madhya Pradesh.
- It is one of the new eight IITs, started by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India.
- The temporary campus of IITI was established in the Institute of Engineering and Technology of Devi Ahilyabai University under the mentorship of IIT Bombay.
- The foundation of the permanent campus was laid down by Shri Arjun Singh, the Union HRD Minister.
- Since February 2016, IIT Indore is doing its functioning from their permanent campus.
