All that you need to know about Stratagem

Event Details:

  • Round 1: Check the Brain Cells: An elimination round that tests the participants ability to remember the maximum number of advertisements in the shortest of time frames. Recognize 15 ads in 8 mins; each with a score.
  • Round 2: Brand Wagon: Associate the brand with its tag, the shortlisted team hop on the brand wagon to identify the right tags with the right taglines.
  • Round 3: HyPRloop: The round would test the shortlisted team’s ability to solve a real-life PR problem of big multinational corporations. Each shortlisted team would wear the hat of a PR personnel and create advertisements that have the potential to drive engagement for the brand in the form of a video.

Process:

  • Task 1:
    • Each shortlisted team would be given an MNC with a bad PR eg: Maggi with lead in it.
    • The teams would be given time to create a 1- min reel to help Maggi renew its brand image
    • The students would be open to acting, encourage participation from their friends, and use music, memes or images, and impersonation as a way to make the reels as creative as possible.
    • Connect would post each of these 1 min reels on their Instagram handle
  • Task 2:
    • Teams would then have to enhance the engagement on their respective reel in a stipulated time frame
    • Engagement entitles - reach, likes, comments, and share
  • Task 3:
    • The teams will have to create PowerPoint explaining their thought to the judges and show the statistics
    • This would be 4 sliders PowerPoint with 7-8 minutes allotted to each team
    • Presentation:
      • Slide 1 - Situation
      • Slide 2 - Analysis
      • Slide 3 - Solution
      • Slide 4 - Reel Clipping

Evaluation:

  • The judges would be conducting a Q&A (3mins per team) round based on the reel created by the team and their thought process in designing the reel.
  • Scoring
  • The scores will have a dual component - social media engagement will have a 40 % weightage and the judges' scores will have a 60% weightage. The team with the highest score would win the round.
  • There would be additional brownie points for the level of creativity the teams have used to create the reel.
