Havoc, The Brand Resurrection Challenge: Stages and Timelines
1) Quiz round
This round is an online marketing quiz on basic branding and marketing questions that will be conducted on the Unstop platform. Only one individual from each team is required to participate in the quiz. The highest-scoring teams will progress to the next round.
2) Submission Round
Selected teams are required to submit a 2 pager document outlining idea and solutions pertaining to the given problem statement.
3A) Submission Round (via Unstop)
Submission of final 5 slider deck with detailed solution analysis and problem proposition. Result will be declared on 1st Aug
3B) Final Presentation Round
This round is a presentation round (online) that will be held before a panel of judges, wherein the qualifying teams from Round 2 will present. The judges will evaluate each team's presentation and select the winner based on the criteria established by the competition organizers.

IIM Bangaloreʼs International Business & Entrepreneurship Summit Venix 2025 and MASH (The Marketing club of IIM Bangalore) bring HAVOC. This marketing case competition requires participants to analyze a real-world business problem and develop a creative marketing strategy to address it. Participants must select a real brand from the 1990s–2010s that declined due to marketing failures, analyze its downfall, and propose a revival strategy using traditional marketing tools relevant to that era. Solutions should exclude modern tactics like AI or influencer marketing and include a cost-benefit assessment to ensure feasibility.
Rules:
- The competition is open to undergraduate and postgraduate students
- Multiple teams from the same college are allowed
- Participants in the same team should be from the same college
- A student cannot be part of more than one team
- The participants must carefully read through and agree to the following terms & conditions before registering:
- All decisions in matters of eligibility, authenticity, and final judgments will be with the organizing committee of Venix, Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore
- The organizing committee holds the discretion to change the format and structure of the event at any point
