Sharpen your pencils for 15 multiple-choice (or subjective) questions covering a variety of topics in the film, cinema, and entertainment industry. This is your chance to showcase your understanding of everything from production and distribution to marketing and audience engagement.
Round 2: Show Time! (Case Submission)
Brace yourselves for a real-world challenge! We'll provide you with a compelling case study that delves into a current business problem faced by a company in the exciting world of entertainment. It could be anything from developing a winning marketing campaign for a blockbuster release to devising strategies to increase cinema footfall in a competitive market.
Here's where your strategic thinking comes into play. You'll need to analyze the case, develop creative and practical solutions, and present your findings in a clear and concise way. Prepare a presentation deck (maximum 5 slides excluding title slide) outlining your proposed solution. You can also include up to 3 additional slides or Excel spreadsheets to showcase your data and visualizations (optional).
Only the team leader needs to submit your team's masterpiece on Unstop.
Round 3: Final Cut! (Online + On-Campus Presentation)
Lights, camera, ACTION! The top teams from Round 2 will battle it out in the final round, held live on campus at Vista'24. This is your chance to shine under the spotlight! Prepare to present your solution from Round 2 to a panel of esteemed judges from the entertainment industry. Be ready to answer their questions and showcase your passion and expertise. Convince them that your team has the winning formula to dominate the box office!

Get ready to dominate the box office with your strategic brilliance! Here's a breakdown of the competition rounds for Box Office Blitz at Vista'24:
Round 1: Lights, Camera, Action! (MCQ)
- Format: Online quiz conducted on the designated platform.
- Team Size: 1-3 members (one participant can only be part of 1 team)
- Content: 15 multiple-choice or subjective questions testing your knowledge of the film, cinema, and entertainment industry.
- Duration: 10 minutes (exact timings to be confirmed)
Round 2: Show Time! (Case Submission)
- Objective: Develop a strategic solution for a real-world business challenge faced by a company in the entertainment industry. A detailed case study will be provided.
- Deliverables:
- Prepare a concise and impactful presentation deck (maximum 5 slides excluding title slide) outlining your proposed solution.
- You can optionally include up to 3 additional slides or Excel spreadsheets for further data or visualizations (appendix).
- Evaluation Criteria:
- Demonstrate a deep understanding of the case and the challenges presented.
- Impress the judges with your creative and practical solutions.
- Showcase clear and concise communication of your ideas.
- Submission: Only the team leader needs to submit your team's solution on the designated online platform (platform to be announced).
Round 3: Final Cut! (On-Campus Presentation)
- Objective: The top teams from Round 2 will present their solutions to a panel of esteemed judges from the entertainment industry.
- Format: Live presentation on campus at Vista'24 (exact timings and medium to be confirmed).
