Spardha Esports Fest 2024: BGMI Battle Royale Tournament
Get ready to witness the relentless pursuit of perfection as students from all walks of life converge at Spardha, the dazzling annual sports spectacle proudly hosted by the esteemed IIT BHU. This prestigious educational institute sets the stage for an awe-inspiring display of talent, where athletes and esports enthusiasts alike come together to create an atmosphere that pulsates with excitement. By incorporating an Esports fest, Spardha caters to the growing community of esports enthusiasts and provides a platform for them to excel in this discipline.
Guidelines:
- Game Mode: All games will be in Battle Royale mode.
- Game Version: All players must have the latest version of BGMI installed on their device, with all classic maps downloaded.
- Team Structure: Teams should have a fixed number of players, with substitutes allowed. Solo, Duo, and Trio registrations are also allowed and will be grouped accordingly.
- Prohibited Actions: Strictly no hacking, cheating, or use of unauthorized software. Players found violating these rules will be disqualified.
Payment Details:
- Registration Process: Registered team leaders will be added to a WhatsApp group. They must fill out a form and pay the registration fee on our gaming space website.
- Registration Fee: INR 110 per player (e.g., for a team of 4 members, the total fee is INR 440).
Roster Requirements:
- Team Composition: Each team must maintain exactly four players plus one optional substitute during official competitions.
- Team Leader: Designate one player as the Team Leader during registration. The Team Leader will handle all communications with Tournament Officials and must be on the team’s roster at all times.
Game Process:
- Room Setup: The tournament will be played in rooms. Room ID and password will be shared before each match with the team leaders. A maximum of 16 teams are allowed per room.
- Slot Allocation: Teams must join only the allocated slots for each match.
- Disconnects: If a player disconnects during a round, their teammates can continue without them or forfeit the round. The disconnected player may rejoin if they reconnect quickly.
- Lobby Settings: Default Player Equipment.
- Device Requirement: Players may participate using mobile phones or handheld devices only.
Game Format:
Prelims:
- Timeline: 1st-7th October 2024.
- Structure: Teams will be divided into groups of 16. These 16 teams will compete with each other.The top 4 teams from each group will advance to the next round. After completion of all preliminary rounds, the top 16 teams will be invited to play in offline mode at IIT (BHU)Varanasi, in October 2024.
Points Distribution System:
- 1st place: 10 Points
- 2nd place: 6 Points
- 3rd place: 5 Points
- 4th place: 4 Points
- 5th place: 3 Points
- 6th place: 2 Points
- 7th place: 1 Point
- 8th place: 1 Point
Each finish will carry 1 point.
Finals:
- Timeline: 18th-20th October 2024.
- Location: Offline at IIT (BHU)Varanasi.
- Rules: Final rules will be communicated to the qualified Team Leaders after the prelims.
Terms and Conditions:
By participating in the BGMI tournament organized by SPARDHA Team IIT (BHU), players agree to abide by all tournament rules and regulations. The organizers reserve the right to modify rules, disqualify participants for misconduct, and resolve disputes at their discretion. All participants must use mobile devices, and unauthorized third-party software is strictly prohibited. Prizes will be distributed according to the announced structure, and participants must provide accurate details for prize delivery.

About Indian Institute of Technology, Banaras Hindu University (IIT - BHU)
- The Indian Institute of Technology (Banaras Hindu University), Varanasi is situated on the campus of Banaras Hindu University spread over nearly 1300 acres at the southern end of the ancient city of Varanasi on the banks of the holy river Ganga.
- The Banaras Hindu University was established by Mahamana Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya Ji in the year 1916.
- This Banaras Hindu University has teaching and research facilities in over 135 diverse disciplines including ancient history, oriental learning, performing and fine arts, management, science, social sciences, etc.
- Later on, BHU started engineering education by being the first in the country to start degree courses in mining, metallurgy, ceramic engineering and pharmaceutics with the establishment of the College of Mining and Metallurgy and the College of Technology in the year 1923 and 1932 respectively.
- In 1969, the above three colleges were amalgamated to form the Institute of Technology.
- On 29th June 2012, the Institute of Technology, Banaras Hindu University (IT-BHU), got converted into Indian Institute of Technology (Banaras Hindu University), Varanasi by the Government of India, New Delhi.
