Keeping the growing need for trained managerial talent in consideration, at least three IIMs of the country will be starting the five years Integrated Programme in Management (IPM) from academic session 2021. These three IIMs include IIM Ranchi, IIM Jammu, and IIM Bodh Gaya. The programme will be a blended course of business studies from undergraduate to postgraduate level (Integrated BBA-MBA).
IIM Ranchi IPM details
Important details of the IPM course at IIM Ranchi are as follows:
- The intake for the 2021-26 batch would be 120 (Reservation applicable as per GoI regulations).
- The students will be awarded a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree at the end of the programme.
- The total fees for the first three years of the program will be around INR 14 Lakhs. The fees for the next two years will be equal to the MBA program fees set for that year.
- The admission to the IPM 2021 will be based on SAT/IPMAT 2021 (IIM Indore) exam scores, a written ability test, a personal interview, and overall academic performance at the secondary and the higher secondary levels.
- The application process for the IPM is entirely online with an application fee of INR 2000 (INR 1000 for applicants belonging to the reserved categories)
IIM Jammu IPM details
Some important points regarding the Integrated Programme in Management to be offered at IIM Jammu are as follows:
- The IPM programme at IIM Jammu will have combined courses of foundation, core, and electives at the under-graduate (UG) level and advanced management courses at the postgraduate (PG) level.
- The structure and lengths of degree programs have multiple exit options within the first three years keeping the NEP (National Education Policy) 2020 in consideration.
- In the first part of the IPM program structure, various courses such as foundation courses, core courses, core internship (Social and Corporate internship), and elective courses will be offered to impart business acumen to the students.
- Students will also be undergoing 4-6 weeks of internships with social projects/initiatives and corporates respectively at the end of the first and second academic year and will undertake boot camp and international exchange program.
- The batch size for IPM at IIM Jammu is likely to be around 60.
- The selection process of IIM Jammu consists of Joint Integrated Programme in Management Admission Test (JIPMAT) to be conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA), and class 10th and 12th marks. Preparation of the merit list will be based on JIPMAT Score, academic profile, and gender diversity.
IIM Bodh Gaya IPM details
Important details of the Integrated Programme in Management to be offered at IIM Bodh Gaya are:
- The intake for IIM BG-IPM 2021-26 batch would be 50 (Additional 10 supernumerary seats for female candidates). Reservation would be applicable as per GoI regulations after meeting the minimum eligibility criteria.
- The admission would be through the JIPMAT 2021 (conducted by NTA) and personal Interview. Marks obtained in the entrance test and personal interview would be computed for preparing the final merit list in the following ratio:
- JIPMAT score: 70%
- 10th score: 15%
- 12th score: 15%
- The fee inclusive of the hostel would be INR 4.5 lakhs per year for the first three years. The tentative tuition fees for the 4th and 5th year would be INR 7.5 lakhs per year (approximately equivalent PGP fee for batch 2024-26).
- The first three years of the IPM program would be based on the semester system and the last two years would be based on the trimester system (as per the prevailing MBA course structure).
- At the end of 2nd year, students will have an option to undertake either a Rural and Social Immersion Project or a research-based project, or a business internship. During the sixth semester of the program, students will have the option to select a sector-specific specialization.

All of this will lay a solid base on which the MBA program will build and prepare you for the world of business and give you the tools to succeed and excel."
