IGNOU (Indira Gandhi National Open University) has 21 schools and offers programmes leading to certificate, diploma, or degree. The IGNOU Management Programme is one of the leading Management Programmes in the world. IGNOU admissions 2021 for the January session is currently open for all its courses on its official website. Some important details regarding MBA & BBA IGNOU admissions 2021 are as follows:

1. IGNOU admissions to the MBA programme are conducted two times a year in January & June.
2. IGNOU admissions to the BBA programme are conducted every year in July.
3. Admission to MBA programmes is done through the OPENMAT exam and the final selection of candidates for BBA program is done after the Personal Interview round

IGNOU admissions 2021 important dates

Candidates can note the following important dates regarding IGNOU admissions 2021:

BBA (Retailing) programme at IGNOU

1. The BBA (Retailing) programme is offered in a modular approach. 
2. On completion of 1st year only, candidates will get a Diploma in Retailing (DIR). 
3. On completion of 2nd-year candidates will get an Advanced Diploma in Retailing (ADIR).
4. On completion of 3rd-year candidates get a BBA degree. 
5. The programme is offered once, in July every year. 
6. There’s three month-internship in the 1st year and on-the-job training in the 2nd and 3rd years.

The eligibility criteria for IGNOU admissions 2021 BBA (Retailing) programme seeks +2/equivalent degree based on the merit of physically fit candidates

Category A-direct entry

1. The University provides reservation of seats as per the Government of India rules.
2. There will be a personal interview at the regional center prior to the selection of candidates. The Regional Director, in consultation with the Programme Coordinator, will conduct the interview.
3. Candidates will be selected on the basis of a personal interview, during which a candidate will be judged on the basis of appearance, ability to communicate, attitude, mental alertness, general awareness. Each of these shall carry a maximum of 10 marks. Candidates are required to secure at least 25 out of 50 to qualify.

Category B-sponsored admission

1. The sponsor is allowed to nominate employees, who have passed +2/equivalent, from their retail organization. 
2. The sponsor will submit a letter on the company’s letterhead issued by a competent authority along with an individual application form of the candidate nominated with the programme fee through a Demand Draft drawn in favor of IGNOU payable at New Delhi.
3. Candidates will deposit fees only after selection.

MBA programme at IGNOU

1. IGNOU follows a modular approach in its programme offerings.
2. If a student takes admission into MBA and for some reason or the other is not able to complete all the courses then the student is provided with an exit point. 
3. If the student completes five (5) courses in a particular specialization along with one (1) compulsory basic course then the student would be awarded Post Graduate Diploma in that particular specialization.

Eligibility criteria for admission to MBA programme

The eligibility criteria for IGNOU admissions 2021 MBA programme are as follows:

1. Any graduate (Including Chartered Accountancy/Cost Accountancy/Company Secretaryship) with 50% marks for general category/45% for reserved category.
2. A particular CGPA that meets the eligibility percentage requirement.
3. Clearance of OPENMAT entrance test of IGNOU.
4. No age bar.

OPENMAT entrance test

This test which is used for admission to MBA programme of IGNOU is held twice a year. The aspirants need to fill the online application form in order to appear for the entrance test. Only those candidates who qualify for admission on the basis of score obtained in the entrance test (OPENMAT) will be eligible to seek admission into the MBA programme of IGNOU 2021.

2. Candidates will have to register as new users.
3. Once registered, the candidates will be required to fill in the online application form with all the necessary details.
4. Then the candidates will have to upload all the necessary documents.
5. Proceed to pay the registration and admission fee.
6. Candidates are advised to save and print the application for future reference.

The BBA course fees of IGNOU is INR 27000 and the MBA course fees is INR 37800.
