Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) admissions have started with the first step being the registration process. The last date for the submission of the application is 28th February 2021. The applications are open for BA, BSc, BCom, PG & Diploma courses. Students interested in applying for IGNOU admissions must ensure that they have the following :

  1. Scanned photograph (less than 100 KB)
  2. Scanned signature (less than 100 KB)
  3. Scanned copy of age proof (less than 200 KB)
  4. Scanned copy of relevant educational qualification (less than 200 KB)
  5. Scanned copy of experience certificate (if any) (less than 200 KB)
  6. Scanned copy of category certificate, if SC/ST/OBC (less than 200 KB)
  7. Scanned copy of BPL certificate, if below poverty line (less than 200 KB)

Students are advised to scan their original documents. For more details, they can visit the official IGNOU admissions 2021 website.

Registration fees can be paid via any one of the following methods: Credit Card (Master/ Visa), Debit Card (Master/ Visa/ Rupay), and Net Banking.

Students must check the eligibility criteria for the course they wish to apply for before registering. The entire registration process will be conducted online. Applicants will also receive their login credentials on their registered e-mail address and mobile number.

IGNOU admissions 2021 eligibility criteria

The students who wish to apply for UG level programmes must have passed their 10+2 examination from a recognized board. For certain programmes candidates are expected to have a minimum experience (or PG diploma).

For PG programmes the applicant must have a bachelor’s degree from a recognized university. Some PG courses also have a PG diploma as compulsory criteria to be considered for admission.

For Diploma programmes candidates must have passed their 10+2 examination and for PG Diploma programmes candidate must possess a bachelor’s degree

  1. Visit the official website of IGNOU www.ignou.ac.in
  2. Click on the latest notification “Online Admission Open for January-2021 session for all Programs”
  3. A new tab will open with the list of instructions for candidates. After going through them click the “Submit” and continue with the registration process
  4. Fill in the details and click on the “Register” tab
