Chandigarh University Wins Accenture Innovation Challenge 2022

Accenture Innovation Challenge 2022 is a popular case study competition conducted by Accenture, a global professional services company with leading capabilities in digital, cloud, and security. The competition was open to undergraduate and postgraduate students (currently full-time students) of all years across all institutes in India. With amazing cash prizes and fast-track interview opportunities up for grabs, the event garnered 97,647 registrations and 54,22,802 impressions. 

There were two tracks in the competition i.e. E-track and B-track. I, Ankit Chawla am passionate about robotics and I love to create and innovate new things with technology. The Accenture Innovation Challenge (AIC) 2022 was the perfect opportunity for me to put my learnings to use, showcase my skills, and network with some of the best minds in the nation. I naturally jumped on the opportunity and registered myself for the E-track as Team Robotron from Chandigarh University. And am thrilled to have won the national winner title for the competition.

Accenture Innovation Challenge 2022 Structure

The judgment was up to the mark and the team at Accenture carried out the competition smoothly. The structure of the competition was as follows:

• Idea Submission
• Mentorship and Learning
• Semi Finale
• Grand Finale

The time lapse between each of the rounds was appropriate and gave us ample time to prepare for the next upcoming challenge. They even arranged for every team to be mentored by one of the top leaders in the industry. My mentor was amazing, they gave insightful feedback and suggestions which ultimately helped me perfect my solution and presentation.

My Strategy For Accenture Innovation Challenge 2022

I believe the first impression is the last impression so I focussed on creating a robust prototype to create an initial impact on the judges which later on helped me in pitching the detailed version of the same idea with ease. This worked really well for me as the jury was already really impressed with my prototype having seen a glimpse of it in the previous rounds. Since I was an individual participant, handling all the tasks simultaneously was quite challenging, but I managed to get it done and am proud of myself. 

Mentoring Sessions

During the competition, we went through various mentoring sessions where we gained a lot of knowledge. One of the sessions which was a pitch by Anshulika Dubey was very insightful. Through that, we learned about pitching and also how important pitching skills are when you are presenting your ideas or solutions. 

The moment when I was announced as the winner of the Accenture Innovation Challenge 2022 was one of the best moments of the competition. It was a great experience, something that will stay close to my heart.
