Everything you need to know about ABG HeadstaRt

Aditya Birla Group is back with a golden opportunity for HR professionals. It is all set to lay the foundation of the latest chapter of ABG HeadstaRt, an ultimate battle to fabricate the supreme HR league. First-year students from top-notch B-schools will prove their mettle in managing a multi-generational workforce. So if you are passionate about creating your league and want to excel with new opportunities, then HeadstaRt is the one-stop destination for your dreams.

How many rounds are there in ABG HeadstaRt?

The competition is segregated into four rounds which will assess the dexterity of students to deal with HR operations on the organizational level. Initially, the contestants will face three business simulation rounds, followed by the fourth round, which will be the last ladder of the competition.

Simulation Round 1: ChangeQuest

This round will require one to be the frontman of an imaginary organization. The selected team is required to propose a plan to earn the support of his leaders to create a new business model. For that, the contestant will get 60 minutes to entice these stakeholders using some principles of influence. Make sure you reflect the abilities to be work-flexible, open to new ideas and be a one-man army.

The round is scheduled to happen on 1st August 2019.

Timing: 12 PM to 6 PM IST

Simulation Round 2: iLead

iLead simulation is a leadership-oriented round where a contestant will get an assignment to manage a multi-generation sales team by understanding their individual needs. Moreover, it will require one to reflect the right mindset of leadership for the organizational outcome. In 60 minutes, make sure you meet your sales targets assigned to you and the team. In addition, ensure the virtual team gains some skills.

This round will take place on 5th August 2019.

Timing: 12 PM to 6 PM IST

Simulation Round 3: Trust Sim

The third round will require one to form trust-based bonds with multiple stakeholders. Moreover, this will make one understand the driving approach and styles of building trust between various stakeholders.

This round is set to be scheduled for 7th August 2019.

Timing: 12 PM to 6 PM IST

Round 4: Case Study

After clearing all the simulation rounds, the selected teams will head towards a case study round. This round will assess the HR prowess of the contestants.

The round is set to happen on 9th August 2019.

Timing: 12 AM to 12:59 PM IST

Grand Finale

This is the ultimate showtime round where the finalists will get the last chance to demonstrate their ideas in front of the top HR leaders.

The grand finale will kick on 26th August 2019.

Timing: 10 AM to 6 PM IST

 What are the rules of the game?

• All the first-year students pursuing MBA/PGDM (HR specialization) from the above-mentioned institutes are eligible for the competition.


• In order to participate, form a team of 3 members (only First Year) from your B-School. Once you are done with the team, appoint a team leader and then proceed for the registration.


• Each team will get one login.  In addition, the team will get access to play the game from one laptop/desktop at any time.

Learning opportunities within ABG HeadstaRt:

• The specified simulation rounds will give a bright exposure to working in a large conglomerate.


• A live case study will allow contestants to test their HR prowess.


• In the Grand Finale, selected teams will get the opportunity to communicate ideas to best HR Leaders.


• The winning team will get exciting rewards and new opportunities in the industry.
