AICTE PG Scholarship 2020 application date extended
The deadline for applying for AICTE PG Scholarship 2020 has been extended. Eligible students can now submit their online applications by 15 January 2021 and can also create their student IDs. The objective of the AICTE PG scholarship 2020 is to make sure that advancements in technical education take place in India. This will be fulfilled by rewarding eligible GATE or GPAT full-time students admitted to postgraduate programs approved by the All India Council for Technical Education with INR 12,400 per month.
Eligibility for AICTE PG scholarship 2020
Like any scholarship, the AICTE PG Scholarship 2020 also has a few eligibility criteria. Here is a list which you can refer to ascertain your eligibility:
- Acquiring a valid score in the GATE/GPAT analysis.
- Getting accepted for courses in the 1st year of M.Tech./M.E./M.Pharma/M.Arch at an AICTE approved institution during the 2020-21 academic year.
- International students, sponsored candidates and candidates accepted by a management quota into postgraduate programs are not eligible for the scholarship.
Duration of the scholarship
2 years or for the length of the course, which shall be from the date of commencement to the date of completion of the course will be the term for which the scholarship shall be awarded to the best students.
How to apply for the AICTE PG Scholarship 2020?
Qualified applicants can apply online for the scholarship by following the given steps:
Step 1: Acquire the institute ID and student ID.
Step 2: Tap on the 'Apply Now' button below and provide the student ID details.
Step 3: Fill in the PG Scholarship GATE/GPAT application form.
Step 4: Upload the appropriate documents in PDF format only.
Step 5: After completing all the steps, click on 'Submit Application'.
Be prepared
Here is a list of documents that one must keep scanned and ready in pdf format why applying for the scholarship:
- GATE/GPAT scorecard (Scanned)
- Bank passbook (Scanned)
- Scanned copy of Aadhaar card (Students from J&K, Meghalaya and Assam are exempted)
- Scanned copy of caste certificate
- Scanned copy of the Non-Creamy Layer (NCL) certificate, which should not be more than a year old (only for OBC candidates)
After being awarded the scholarship each postgraduate student is bound to work for 8 to 10 hours per week. The work will be strictly related to research and teaching related activities, as allocated to them by the Institute.
