Apollo Munich Rise Up Challenge National Runners Up Komal’s Story
We did extensive research on the industry in terms of other players, consumers, and possible innovations. We covered all aspects of launching and promoting a new product. The most challenging phase was to come up with a unique factor for the new product, that we were proposing.
Our team was a perfect combination of research, ideation, articulation, and presentation. There were 5 teams from different campuses across the length and breadth of the country, in the finale. Since the idea by IIM Lucknow-Noida campus was around 3 new products for the company, we would consider them to be our toughest competitors.
During the preparation for the competition, we conducted a lot of primary and secondary research. This gave us a better understanding of the health insurance industry. We also gained insights about the ground reality and consumers' expectations from existing insurance companies, while interviewing them.
The competition was very well-organized. Our work was being judged by the CXOs of the company, which was quite overwhelming. The competition was framed in the most ideal manner leading up to an opportunity to work with the greatest in this trade.
