Laxmikanth Reddy's father is an autorickshaw driver who dropped children to a convent school. He had always nursed the dream of sending his own son to the same school, but couldn't do it for a long time because they could not afford it.
However, after a few years in a Telugu medium school, Reddy's father managed to secure the funds necessary to send him to the convent school. Just a few years later, Reddy's father would join him on the stage while he was receiving the best meritorious student award at the school.

Now 27, Reddy has cracked CAT in 2021 and is currently pursuing a PGPX from IIM Ahmedabad. His story is one of a kind with the potential to inspire millions of people.
Laxmikanth Reddy's Life
Reddy did his schooling from a Telugu medium school till class 7. After that, with savings made through hard work, Reddy was admitted to a convent school. Since then, his merit has always caught the attention of teachers and they have helped him in every way possible.
Even during his college days, Reddy received a scholarship at a junior college called Sreenidhi Institute Of Science & Technology.
He completed B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering in 2016. Even though he was going to college with a scholarship, he did not have it easy, even for a moment. While there was the issue of rising costs to deal with all the time, the fact that his father fell ill also made things even worse.

As a result, even though he was studying with a scholarship, it became difficult to handle the finances due to his father’s illness and the subsequent inability to work. Laxmikanth Reddy started giving tuition classes and took help from his community in order to meet the financial demands.
Reddy's Dream
After graduating in engineering, Reddy got a job at Hyderabad. However, his heart was always into entrepreneurship, and ended up starting a small entrepreneurial venture with his group of friends. They were into designing terrace gardens and advocated for active farming even in cities.
Coming from the financial situation that he did, Reddy’s lifelong dream has been to buy and house for his parents. Funding his education has also been a challenge for him, but he has always found a way around it, either through scholarships or with the help of his parents.
Back in the day when he was in school, Reddy’s parents used up a significant portion of their savings to send him to a convent school. Reddy wants to continue on a job till he can afford a house for his parents. Once he achieves it, he clearly has other plans for the future.
Once he is able to fulfill the dream of buying his parents a house, Reddy would move back to where his heart is i.e. entrepreneurship.
"I want to venture out on my own and realize my dream to become an entrepreneur - that's the purpose of coming here (IIM - A)", Laxmikanth Reddy said.
