Bajaj Finserv Atom National Finalist Vasvika Jain's Story

We were selected in the top 5 teams. I felt accomplished and happy. Learning is the key aspect that I look into consideration before participating in any competition and I knew that Bajaj Finserv Atom would be full of it. Also, the concept was very challenging and intriguing. It made us even more excited to be a part of it.

We prepared for the competition by reading articles and news and talking to professionals. We worked for around 1 month all day and all night. The most challenging phase was getting a position in the top 5 teams. It gave us the opportunity to present in front of Sanjeev Bajaj- Managing Director, Bajaj Finserv. Besides, the moment when he was happy with my answer and was nodding with approval, will always be special for me.

It was a great experience as there were so many things to learn from each other like time management, communication skills, etc. Sometimes, we did have conflicts because everyone has their own ideas and a way of presenting, but we resolved them by including everyone's suggestion and also taking the vote among us. The best part was nobody ever took offense on anything and the team always had high spirits and positivity.

Our team's motive was to focus on the products which had great scope for winning based on practicality. Everyone had a similar opinion on the team. Our team, consisting of 3 men and 2 women, got the name DigiKarma because we believed that whatever we were doing, it was all because of our previous karma and that too in a modern manner. This competition has given me the best friends for life in the form of my teammates!

There were 5 teams competing in the finale. Bajaj Finserv Atom was fair and quite accurate in terms of judgement. Also, the Bajaj Finserv team organized the competition in an exceptionally brilliant manner. The arrangements were outstanding. The organizers had made sure that everyone is comfortable and enjoying. Overall, everything was way above my expectation and they were very humble and approachable.

I got to learn a lot. This competition has improved my presentation skills, helped me get a deep insight into the insurance sector and taught me teamwork, communication skills and much more.
