Be prepared for a fresh batch of women leaders! IIM Rohtak sets a record with 69% women in their current batch

This year, with a total of 260 students admitted to its flagship MBA programme, IIM Rohtak has a record percentage of 69% women in the current batch. The total strength of the batch is also 10% more than last year.

Director Dheeraj Sharma said that this is a positive development and it is a cause of the efforts put in by the institute. This will be the 11th batch of the institute. He underlined that the institute reached out to female candidates over phone and emails. In cases that required financial aid, IIM Rohtak also ensured study loans from five banks to be approved within 48 hours.

The institute has also decided to dedicate 25% more time to each course to tackle any lag caused by the online mode of education. This time will be used for doubt clearance and discussion as opposed to the usual teaching methods. The batch has been divided into groups of 60 for better focus and teacher-student ratio in each class.

IIM Rohtak was established in 2010 and is a second-generation IIM (established between 2007-2010). It is the only IIM that comes under the Dehli-NCR region and its industrial belt. The institute has a great track record with 100% placements for three consecutive years, including during the lockdown.
