BITSAT 2021 registration process has commenced for the exam which will be a computer-based online test for admissions to Integrated First Degree Programmes of BITS Pilani Campuses in Pilani, Goa and Hyderabad. The deadline for online application (with fee payment) is 29 May 2021.
Important details regarding the online application of BITSAT 2021
Aspirants who will be appearing for BITSAT 2021 exam may note the following important points while filling the application form:
- The last date and time for applying for the online application form along with the prescribed fee is 5:00 PM of 29 May 2021. Forms need not be sent via post.
- Candidates will be given the option to choose their center as per their preferences within India or Dubai.
- For centers within India, the application fee for male and female candidates will be INR 3400 and INR 2900 respectively while for centers in Dubai the application fee will be INR 7000 for both male and female candidates.
- A candidate is allowed to fill and submit only one online application form. Multiple applications of a candidate will not be entertained and will result in the rejection of the candidate.
- It is advised that after completing the application form the candidates must proceed to make the required payment immediately.
Candidates are advised to collect the following documents beforehand before proceeding to fill the application form:
- Scanned image of their Photograph (in jpg/jpeg only). The size of the photo image must be between 4 Kb to 100 Kb.
- Scanned image of their Signature (in jpg/jpeg only). The size of the signature image must be between 1 Kb to 50 Kb.
- A valid email ID and Mobile Number are mandatory for the registration of your online application, both of which must be kept active till the declaration of the results as BITS will send all the important information related to the exam through these only.
Details about the BITSAT 2021 exam
Candidates must note the following important features and pattern of the exam:
- The exam has Physics, Chemistry, English proficiency and Logical reasoning, and Mathematics/Biology.
- The total duration of the test is 3 hours.
- The questions asked in the paper are objective type (multiple choice questions).
- It is a 450 marks paper with 3 marks for every correct answer and -1 marks for every incorrect answer.
- The paper has 4 parts (Part I has 40 questions from Physics, Part II has 40 questions from Chemistry, Part III has 15 and 10 questions from English proficiency and Logical reasoning respectively, and Part IV has 45 questions for Mathematics/Biology).
- There are a total of 150 questions in the paper.
- All questions are based on the current NCERT syllabus.
Eligibility criteria
- For admission to any of the First Degree programs of BITS except B.Pharm, the candidates should have passed the 12th examination of the 10+2 system from a recognized Central or State board or its equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) and adequate proficiency in English.
- For admission to B.Pharm, the candidates should have passed the 12th examination of the 10+2 system from a recognized Central or State board or its equivalent with Physics, Chemistry and Biology (PCB) and adequate proficiency in English. However, candidates with PCM may also apply for the Pharmacy program.
- The candidate should have obtained a minimum of aggregate 75% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects (if he/she has taken Mathematics in BITSAT) or a minimum of aggregate 75% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects (if he/she has taken Biology in BITSAT) subjects in 12th examination, with at least 60% marks in each of the Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics / Biology subjects.
- Only students who are appearing for the 12th class examination in 2021 or who have passed the 12th class Examination in 2020 are eligible to appear in the BITSAT 2021 test.
