From Earning INR 3000 PM To A Salary Package Of INR 75 Lakh, This Hyderabad Boy From IIM-A Is An Inspiration!

Bagging the highest salary package at IIM-A

Pavan Sharma opted for the commerce stream considering it would cost less. Like any other commerce graduate, Pavan set his eyes on becoming a CA. In 2014, Paven completed his Chartered Accountancy at the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI). He then worked with an advisory firm from 2014 to 2021. When Pavan started out his professional journey, his first pay cheque was worth INR 3000. With time he gathered experience and skills as he kept climbing the corporate ladder. 

To learn more about the managerial aspects, Pavan enrolled himself in a Post Graduate Programme in Management for Executives at IIM A. Considered one of the finest one-year, full-time, residential programmes in the world, this course helped Pavan to have a 360-degree overview of the managerial functions. His knowledge of accountancy helped him better understand business strategies. Eventually, his persistence and commitment to upskilling himself paid off. Pavan Sharma bagged the highest annual salary package of INR 75.2 lakh at IIM-Ahmedabad's domestic placements. 

Inculcating an entrepreneurial mindset

Pavan Sharma was always keen to upskill himself. Before joining IIM A, he pursued various courses both in India and abroad to increase his knowledge base. Sharma believes that for B school candidates companies intend to assess their practical knowledge. Hence, they come up with real-life cases to understand the thinking process and the problem-solving attitude of the potential employee.
