Tough and competitive throughout its selection process, CAT is a prerequisite entrance test for admission to various Post Graduate and Fellow/Doctorate programs in India`s premier IIMs. Its scores are also allowed to be used by listed non-IIM member institutions.

Graduates and final degree students preparing to take the prestigious examination must take into consideration the following important dates with regard to the CAT 2023:

CAT 2023: Eligibility Criteria
Students applying for the CAT 2023 must make sure that they meet the eligible criteria as shown in the table below.

Candidates in the final year of the Bachelor’s degree/equivalent qualification examination can also appear for the CAT 2023 provided that they fulfilled the required percentage degree mark cut-off. |
CAT 2023: Which IIM Is Conducting CAT This Year?
Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Lucknow is conducting CAT 2023. Prof. Sanjeet Singh, Professor of IIM Lucknow, is the Convener for CAT 2023. The CAT Convener urges eligible and interested candidates to register well in advance to have a hassle-free registration process.
CAT 2023: Examination Pattern
The duration of the CAT 2023 will be 120 minutes through Computer Based Test (CBT). It will have the following three sections:
- Section I: Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension
- Section II: Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning
- Section III: Quantitative Ability
- There are no negative marks for non-MCQ type questions, the answer for which must be typed by the candidate.
Candidates will be allotted exactly 40 minutes for answering questions in each section and they will not be allowed to switch from one section to another while answering questions in a section.
CAT 2023: Registration Guidelines
Before you start your CAT 2023 registration, make sure that you have a valid and unique email address and mobile number. You must retain the email address and mobile number until the CAT Admission 2023 process is completed. All official communications will be done using your registered email address and mobile number only.
The CAT 2023 online registration window starts at 10.00 a.m. on August 2, 2023, and will close at 5:00 p.m. on September 13, 2023. The details will be available in the Registration Guide. Registration will be charged as INR 1200 for SC, ST, and PwD category candidates while INR 2400 for all other categories of candidates.
