The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main) Paper 1 is conducted for admission to Undergraduate Engineering Programs (B.E/B. Tech) at NITs, IIITs, other CFTIs. There are a total of 31 National Institute of Technology (NITs), 25 Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIITs), and 28 Centrally Funded Technical Institutes (CFTIs) that accept JEE Main scores for admission.

This year keeping the coronavirus pandemic in consideration the JEE MAIN exam was decided to be conducted in four sessions in the months of February, March, April, May. The result for the first session exam that was held from 23-26 February 2021 in CBT (Computer Based Test) mode will be declared on 7 March 2021. Similarly, for the other sessions, results will be declared within 1 week after the exam is conducted. The candidates can check their results on the official website by entering their Application number, date of birth, and security pin.
