The Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) is scheduled to be conducted on September 28th, 2020. Amidst the pandemic, the examination has been repeatedly postponed. It was earlier decided to be conducted on September 7th. This is the fate of many entrance examinations who are being postponed because of the unlikely situations caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.
The admit cards for CLAT 2020 will soon be released on the official website of the examination. Likewise, candidates are required to download their admit cards from the website – consortiumofnlus.ac.in.
The candidates have to solve about 150 questions in a time-span of two hours. Only those candidates who secure at least 40% of the total marks are considered eligible for admissions in the law courses. The minimum marks for admission into UG and PG level courses for candidates who belong from the reserved category is 35% of the total marks.
CLAT 2020 is a national level entrance examination where eligible candidates secure a position for themselves in the undergraduate and postgraduate programmes related to law. These law programmes are offered by 22 NLUs (National Law Universities) across the country.
However, there are other entrance examinations as well for admissions into law courses. These include UET which is conducted by Banaras Hindu University (BHU), ULSAT which is conducted by UPES and AILET (All India Law Entrance Test).
