Exhibiting the entrepreneurial mind-set: Team Fusion | Campus Winners of Bajaj Finserv Atom Season 2
Bajaj Finserv Atom Season 2 was a mind-opener that taught us various technical and non-technical processes that were highly important for us. Our strategy for the competition was to target millennials by adopting a Design Thinking Approach to deliver a customer-centric solution. We worked together to come up with innovative solutions which helped us bag the title of the Campus Winners.
Team Fusion is a group of versatile individuals
Our team consisted of a diverse set of individuals, where each of us worked with a synergy to develop the right solution. We had engineers who had qualified for the first Hyperloop competition, Bajaj Car Racing, etc.
Working as a team was an enriching experience which helped us secure the position of the Campus Winners. We were mature enough to deal with the issues related to the project. Suraj was available to bring new ideas, Abhishek worked on the presentations, Bikram learnt about finances through his research and Roni helped the team cover-up against the shortcomings. In case of conflicts, the voting system helped us resolve issues. Overall, it was our coordination that kept the team bonded as a single unit. Irrespective of who won the competition, we believe that everyone is a star.
Bajaj Finserv Atom Season 2: The competition required an entrepreneurial mindset
Bajaj Finserv Atom Season 2 had five teams that made it to the campus finale. There were 30 teams out of 1104 teams across India for regionals. Our tough competitor was the team 'Team' as it had a higher investment plan along with a strong pitch.
The competition required an entrepreneurial mindset. We learned about teamwork, perseverance, willpower and other values that were required in formulating the solution for the competition. The skill-based learning included working on android apps, learning about the insurance industry, researching healthcare conditions in India and consumer perception of insurance sellers.
As far as the judgment quality is concerned, the competition had multiple parameters to judge on. Some factors included understanding the case, providing a futuristic solution, doing research work, development of a prototype, working on financial plans, etc. The core belief was to promote a realizable solution for the health insurance sector. Mr. Vaibhav Date, Head, Talent Management and his team executed the competition. They were approachable and helpful.
We cherished every moment during the competition. One of the best moments was building the application and brainstorming new ideas. The consumer interviews with doctors made us realize the importance of a business atmosphere. We enjoyed those moments and figured out the factors that influence our thought process.
