Flipkart WiRED 2019 is a fat treat for all B-Schoolers
One of India’s leading e-commerce marketplace, Flipkart is coming back with a bang with the third season of the WiRED Campus Case Challenge. The competition will witness 21 premium business schools across the country fighting it out for the title and bragging rights. Also, it is another kick at the can for students to get placed at Flipkart. The flagship competition, Flipkart WiRED 2019, has opened multiple doors of opportunities for B-school students to get acquainted with the Indian e-commerce ecosystem. The latest edition will make you throw your hats in the ring with students from the top-rated B-schools.
In addition, you will get an option to choose between three domain-specific challenges, which will be Business, HR and Supply Chain. Also, the challenges are fabricated in a manner to evaluate your technical knowledge and logical reasoning with a touch of creativity. Besides that, students from both the batches; PGP-1 and PGP-2 are eligible to participate in Flipkart WiRED 3.0. Well, if you think you are ingenious and have the ability to solve these challenges, then you are looking at the right spot.
How many rounds are there in Flipkart WiRED 2019?
Flipkart WiRED 2019 is divided into three rounds:
Round #1: The Case Study Challenge
In this one, Flipkart will release three case challenges in all the campuses eligible for the competition. They are Business, Supply Chain and HR.
Also, the participants can only pick one case study. After selecting the case study, participants are required to prepare a presentation with a maximum of 5 slides to present their solution.
Round #2: Campus Challenge
After Round #1, Flipkart will analyze the entries and push the selected teams to Round #2.
The selection process for this round will be different for both Veterans and New Entrant institutes.
For Veterans: Here, the top entries from the Veterans institutes will have to give a 30-minute (20 minutes for the presentation and 10 minutes for Q&A) presentation on the slides submitted in Round #1. Also, a group of panelists from Flipkart will justify the presentations. Also, they will declare the results on the same day.
For New Entrant: Similarly, top entries from the New Entrant institutes will have to demonstrate the slides submitted in Round #1, through video conferencing with Flipkart panelists. Moreover, they will justify the presentation and release the results on the same day.
Round #3: Down to the WiRED(Grand Finale)
This round will include two phases in which all the Campus winners will participate altogether.
Phase 1: Additional Complexity
- For each case study, Flipkart will alter the complexity levels in each problem statement. Also, the teams will have to submit the solutions by following the new complexities and terms.
Phase 2: Grand Finale at OneFlipkart, Bengaluru
- After evaluation, 15 teams will make it from Phase 1 to present their solution in front of Flipkart panelists at Flipkart Campus.
- Also, the panelists will declare the National winners and the Runner Ups from each domain.

What are the rules for Flipkart WiRED 2019?
- A team should consist of 3 students.
- PGP-1 students can only form teams from PGP-1 batch, while PGP-2 students are allowed to form teams their own PGP-2 batch.
- Moreover, out of all the members, only one member can become a part of an Exchange Program.
Flipkart WiRED 2019: Prizes
- The National Winner will go home with prizes worth INR 2 lakhs
- The National Runner-Up Winner will get prizes worth INR 50,000
- Moreover, Campus Winners will get a chance of individual PPIs.
