FMS Final Placement 2020 sees highest CTC of 58.6 LPA

With 104 recruiters and 234 offers, the Faculty of Management Studies, FMS Delhi, concluded its final placement process of the batch of 2018-2020 recently. The red building of dreams offered the highest CTC of 58.6 LPA this year, shattering previous year's records.

Despite the economic slowdown experienced in the country, the institute continued its rich legacy of achieving 100% placements with highest-ever average CTC of 25.6 LPA. The average package increased by 11% over the last year and the median package stood at 23.4 LPA. The average CTC of the top offers stood at 31 LPA. 

Highlights

    • The highest CTC stood at 58.6 LPA
    • The average CTC of the batch was 25.6 LPA
    • The average CTC of top 100 students was recorded to be 31 LPA
    • Consulting offers increased by 42%
    • The number of PPOs offered increased by 36%

For the first time, 75% of the offers were above 20 LPA with average CTC of top quartile at 37.3 LPA. The FMS final placement report of 2020 also recorded that the average CTC for women increased to 26.2 LPA.

Sector-wise Breakdown


Consulting and General Management

33% of candidates got placed in the domains of Strategy, Consulting and General Management. Prominent recruiters who offered roles in this domain were Accenture Strategy, ABG, Airtel, Capgemini E.L.I.T.E, Bain & Company, EY, Kearney, Flipkart, McKinsey & Company, TAS, Shell, and Xiaomi.

E-Commerce/ IT/ Operations

In line with the trend of the last few years, e-commerce companies continued recruiting students from FMS this year as well. Giants of e-commerce offered coveted roles in program and product management.  A total of 26% offers were rolled out in the domain of E-commerce/IT/Operations from companies like American Express, Amazon, Cloudtail, Flipkart, Delhivery, Freshworks, Infoedge, Go-MMT, RBS, and Microsoft.

Sales and Marketing

Besides offers from legacy recruiters in the FMCG sector, the roles of Sales and Marketing were offered by the Consumer Electronics, Pharmaceutical, Retail, Industrial Goods, E-Commerce, and Automobile sectors. A total of 24% offers were offered in this domain with recruiters like Asian Paints, Coca Cola, Google, Dr. Reddy’s, HCCB, ITC, Hindustan Unilever Limited, Johnson & Johnson, Nestle, Mondelez, Reckitt Benckiser, Tata Sky, Samsung, Vivo, and Tolaram Group.

Finance

17% of the total offers were from the Banking, Financial Services & Insurance (BFSI) domain with roles being offered in Front end Investment Banking, Private Equity, Corporate Finance, Corporate Banking, Wealth Management, Treasury, etc. The companies that took part in the process include American Express, Airtel, Avendus Capital, Barclays, Bank of America, Haitong Securities, HSBC, HDFC IB, TIWPE, and Power Finance amongst others.
