As early as six AM in the morning on weekends, thousands of students from all over India throng the ghats behind Patna college creating a spectacle that can befuddle anyone who doesn't know what's going on.
In fact, very few people knew about it until businessman Harsh Goenka shared images from the ghats on Twitter.

The students are all government job aspirants who come to take classes for free from SK Jha, a popular teacher on YouTube who helps students prepare for competitive examinations.

Every morning at six AM, SK Jha- an engineer by training, and his team of over 160 associates start classes at Patna college ghat and Kadam ghat for banking, railway, and similar examinations for government jobs. Students from Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal, MP, Rajasthan, UP, and Maharashtra come to take classes from Jha.
Along with his team, Jha prepares notes, mock exams, and even OMR sheets with answer keys for the students. The students study in groups, write tests and make sure to collect the study material before leaving. All of it for free!
According to Jha, the limited space at his coaching center is what prompted him to look for other places. He said, "one morning when I was walking on the ghat, I stuck upon the idea of holding classes there".
A lot of the students who attend these free classes are from remote areas in Bihar and they do not have the means to take coaching. They come to the ghat every weekend on time and go back to their villages once it's over.
Jha said that the number of students on Saturday goes as high as 3500 while on Sundays it goes up to 8000. On the weekdays Jha also conducts discussion sessions on YouTube in which he claims over six lakhs of students have joined.

Another student, Pappu Kumar, said that Jha took five mock tests in the past two months and Pappu's performance is getting better as a result of it. " Jha sir explains each and every question and how to solve it", Pappu said.
Speaking to the Times Of India, Jha said, "As I spend time with them I know which question they will find challenging and tricky and accordingly, we prepare the question papers to clear their concepts."
