An engineering lab goes beyond being just a place for doing experiments, and is a place where students can innovate and venture beyond the restraints of their curriculum. Keeping the same in view, the donation was used to upgrade the laboratory facilities at IIT-K campus and Bindra himself inaugurated the Unit Operations and Innovation Laboratory at Chemical Department.
Following his generous donation, Prof. Abhay Karandikar, Director of IIT Kanpur announced over Twitter,
“Over the years, he has been a contributor and an integral part of the growing ecosystem of IIT Kanpur. On behalf of the entire @IITKanpur family, we express our gratitude and appreciate his continuous support. Thank you, Mr Bindra - we remain grateful.”
