GATE 2021 result out now; check scorecard, merit list, and all other details
The GATE 2021 result has been released by the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay which was the organizing institute for the GATE exam this year. The scorecard contains the candidate’s marks, category-wise cutoff, the candidate’s rank, and his overall GATE score. The GATE scorecard is only available for download by students who have qualified the exam.
GATE i.e.the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering is a national level test conducted for admission of students in masters’ courses in engineering and recruitment in PSUs. It is jointly conducted by IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Kanpur, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Madras, IIT Roorkee, and Indian Institute for Science, Bangalore (IISC Bangalore), on a rotational basis. This year's GATE exam was conducted on the 6th, 7th, 13th, and 14th of February, 2021 by IIT Bombay.
GATE 2021 results can be downloaded through logging in on the GATE Online Application Processing System (GOAPS) through the candidate’s enrollment ID and password. The GATE score will be valid for three years from the date of the result that is till 2024.

The paper-wise percentage of qualified candidates varied from 8.42% to 29.54% Of the total number of qualified candidates, 98,732 were male and 28,081 were female.The list of toppers in the various subject papers in GATE 2021 is as follows:

Steps to download the GATE 2021 result
To download the GATE 2021 result, follow the given steps:
- Visit the GOAPS website of IIT Bombay.
- Log in through your enrollment ID and password.
- After logging in click on the ‘scorecard’ tab to open the scorecard in a pdf form.
- Download the scorecard. This is applicable to only those who have qualified for the GATE exam.
- You can also view the question paper and answer keys in the notifications on gate.iitb.ac.in

The GATE 2021 result in the form of a scorecard should be preserved for future references as it provides the candidate’s qualification status for the GATE exam. It is important to note that the validity of the GATE 2021 result and scorecard is three years for master’s courses in colleges while it is only one year for recruitments in PSUs.
