Have you ever felt so exhilarated that you were left breathless? Well, this was one such moment for me. I couldn’t understand how to react, how to express myself with such a great victory in our hands. I felt a gust of happiness and sheer joy for being declared the National Runners Up of GEP GamePlan Season 8. Believe me, when I say this, words fail me when I try to express how it felt!

Both of us in the team were from similar backgrounds and wanted to put our skills to test at a national level B-school competition and what better platform could we get other than GEP Gameplan Season 8. It was time to put everything we had learned to execution and to learn new things. Consulting was a new area for me and understanding the nuances of consulting etiquette and breaking down a problem for a client is important and I got to learn all about it while working on the problem.

I knew that taking this challenge wouldn’t be easy but who considers a challenge to be a challenge until it tests your neurons. It took us about 1.5 weeks of intense preparation to complete the solution and fine tune it to make it work. When we made the presentation initially, it had a lot of content. So, the most challenging part was to make the presentation short and crisp without removing any key parts of the content. Keeping in mind that it was to be presented to the global leads at GEP.

Like any other humans working together, we did have our moments of disagreement. But we had a solution for that. We discussed our opinions and evaluated the options that lay ahead. Experience never goes to waste and I think it was the ability to reflect on our experience and articulate the problem in a concise manner that helped us immensely.

There were 17 competing teams in the finale, and our biggest competition was SJMSOM-IIT, Bombay. Although we couldn't see their presentation, we were told it was a close finish for both. GEP Gameplan Season 8 was managed very professionally and at a larger than life scale. It was structured in a way that will put every grey cell of your brain to work. It was a good experience right from the start to the very end. The most special moment for me would always be ‘The Final Winning’ moment.
