With the recent announcement of a new Google Cloud office in Pune, Maharashtra, the tech giant has also unveiled its plans of fresh hiring for the new location from its existing offices. While the new Google office will come up in the second half of 2022, hiring for various positions has already begun.
Hunt for “Googlers” starts now!
Google has over the last 12 months, hired over the top engineering talent to join their Development Center in India to support and help build advanced cloud technologies in collaboration with Google’s global engineering teams.
Though the new location in Pune is expected to open in the latter half of 2022, the hiring starts now, alongside rapidly growing teams in Gurgaon, Hyderabad, and Bangalore. This planned expansion is the latest in a series of investments by Google Cloud to fuel customer growth and value offerings to organizations of all sizes.
“These teams will help build advanced enterprise cloud technologies in collaboration with global engineering teams, provide real-time technical advice, and deliver product and implementation expertise that customers turn to Google Cloud for as their trusted partner in their digital transformation journey,” Bhansali said in his recent press release.

Marking Territory in India
After the MeitY-empanelled Mumbai cloud region, Google launched its second Google Cloud Region in Delhi NCR, making India also one of a small handful of countries in the Asia Pacific where multiple Google Cloud regions are operated. And now Google Pune will be the latest Google office in its bid to stretch its arms across the country.
“Today, I’m pleased to share that Google is opening an office in Pune, and the first Googlers in the space will be in our Cloud Product Engineering, Technical Support, and Global Delivery Center organizations, “ Bhansali added.
