Big corporate competitions are usually crowded with students from premier institutes. However, some companies break stereotypes and offer students platforms to showcase their skills without any biases. One such example is Hero CoLabs eXPerience Challenge, and here is how the Odisha-based students bagged the title of 1st Runners Up of the challenge.

As per our experience, the challenge was very well organized, the jury members were fair and the judgment was up to the mark. We had a pretty good experience, to say the least. Competing with the best 5 teams in the finale and bagging the position of 1st Runners-up at such a big platform seems like a dream. We still can't believe it!

We were completely unaware of the competition at first, one of our teammates' fathers informed us about it and we decided to participate. The design process was a roller coaster ride if explained in the least amount of words. We tried to put our best ideas into it, and things fell into place subsequently.

Getting down to brass tacks

It feels amazing to be awarded by such a prestigious company. We thank Hero wholeheartedly and are looking forward to more such competitions in the future. The competition brief was extremely new for us and we wanted to take part in it and learn through the process of it. We conducted physical case studies to learn about the intricacies of a showroom design. We worked and brainstormed on the problem for approximately 2 weeks.

The most challenging phase was to include different activities while striving to increase footfall. It was difficult working on Google Meet and discussing ideas without physically being present around each other. But we somehow managed to work it out. We also had conflicts regarding the bike positioning and placements. But we sorted everything out after discussions and internet studies.

Also, during the journey, we learned to coordinate with the team to come up with the best idea. And most importantly, we gained knowledge regarding showroom design.

Before we conclude, we would love to share the two most special moments throughout the journey. One was when we managed to work out our different ideas and landed on one final idea. And second is the golden moment, the moment when the results were announced and we were crowned as the first runners-up of the Hero CoLabs eXPerience Challenge.

All in all, we all gave our best and hoped for the best.
