There is no doubt that it is raining offers on students in the field of technology. After Uber offering INR 2CR+ packages to multiple students, including Rohit Negit from IIT Guwahati, Sampriti Yadav, a girl from Bihar, has bagged a job at Google with the annual package of Rs 1.10 crore.

Who is Sampriti Yadav?

Hailing from Patna’s Nehru Nagar, Sampriti has always been a brilliant student and has been completing her education with flying colors. She completed her 10th from Notre Dame Academy in 2014 with CGPA 10. She later passed her Grade 12 examination from International School, Delhi. After cracking JEE- Mains in 2016, she got admission in Delhi Technological University as a Computer Science graduate.

Her father Ramashankar Yadav is a financial institution officer while her mother Shashi Prabha is an Assistant Director with the Planning and Development division.After completing her undergraduate degree in Computer Science in May 2021, she was offered jobs by four big shot companies including Adobe and Flipkart. She chose Microsoft and started working there with an annual salary of Rs 44 lakhs.

Even after being employed, she sent her resume to Google. After clearing 9 rounds of interviews, Google selected her at an annual package of Rs. 1.10 crore. “Google conducted interviews in 9 rounds at different levels online. The company was satisfied with my answer in each round, following which I got selected”, Sampriti told Hindi Newspaper Dainik Bhaskar.

After being asked how she would spend so much money, Sampriti mentioned that as her job is based out of London , the cost of living would be high. Right now, the plan is to save money and fulfill her parents’ wishes.

Always an All-Rounder

Apart from academics, Sampriti was also interested in sports, drama and music. She has performed in more than 50 colleges including IIT-Delhi, IIT- Mumbai. Not only is she trained in classical music for three years, she also scored 35th rank in Math Olympiad and 170th rank in National Science Olympiad.

What’s the hype about IIT Placements 2021?

There hasn’t only been an increase in hiring in the tech industry but the salary hikes are humongous.. 

At IIT Delhi, at least 60 candidates received packages upwards of Rs 1 crore. A student of IIT Roorkee bagged an annual package of Rs 2.15 crore by a global tech firm. As mentioned before, a student of IIT Bombay was secured by Uber at an annual package of Rs 2.05 crore, whereas an IIT Guwahati student was offered Rs 2 crore per annum.

"There has been over 45 per cent increase in the number of offers received by the campus and over 35 per cent increase in the indicative compensation offered by companies visiting on December 1, 2021, in comparison to last year," Anishya Obhrai Madan, head of Office of Career Services, IIT Delhi, said.

"IIT Delhi students bagged over 400 placement offers, including its highest pre-placement offers in five years, by the end of the first day of the placement season on December 1. Many students also bagged multiple placement offers," Madan said.

As the saying goes, make hay while the sun shines. Now is just the right to take advantage of scores of opportunities available in the Tech industry.
