Google is a renowned technology organization acing business and technology transformation, therefore to present amongst Google's esteemed panel of judges for Google Case Study Competition gave me immense pride. The case study on Airbnb was very interesting and had a semblance of both digital transformation and marketing. Hence, it offered a great learning experience.
We divided the preparation process into three phases: first was case study selection, the second being industry, and company analysis, and third, brainstorming. We took 10 days each for the first and second round of preparation. Ideation for a company like Airbnb, which in itself is a benchmark of transformation was the most difficult part.
Fortunately, we had the best coordination in the team. Just a few days before the Regional Round, one of our team members met with an accident, but the zeal was such that we went ahead, nonetheless. Teamwork plays a major role in claiming a victory and we were aiming for that victory. Our team’s forte was digital transformation and that helped us to align with the given problem statement.
There were five teams competing in the finale of the Google Case Study Competition and the competition was excellently organized. I learnt plenty of things some of which were team coordination, research and analysis, and strategic transformation. We were team 1100100 which is binary for 100. We chose this name because we believe in giving 100% every single time.
