This Is How A Mechanical Engineer Became the Second Runner-up Of A Design Challenge; Won Passion Pro & 10k Worth Vouchers

It was one of my friends who noticed the Hero CoLabs eXPerience Challenge and asked me to register. The challenge was about 3D Rendering of design and I recently started learning it around 5-6 months back, so I thought of giving it a try! I did not even think I was ready for it. At that time, I just remembered, "You are never ready for the final exam." So, I decided not to regret an opportunity I did not seize and registered for the challenge. Truth to be told, I didn't even expect to make it to the second round!

Success is the result of consistent efforts

When I got a call from the concerned authority of the challenge, I got very nervous, but to my surprise, she told me the news of bagging the title of 2nd Runner up of Hero CoLabs eXPerience Challenge. It was a great moment, a sigh of relief as all my hard work paid off.

It was a fantastic journey, from not even knowing the basics to making a presentable design and even finishing on the podium. It was an excellent opportunity to showcase your skills in different fields. Kudos to Hero and D2C!

Going back in time, I was exploring new software a few months ago, and their 3D Softwares excited me, so I decided to keep working on it. And then, I registered for this challenge.  It was the turning point when I decided to learn more and more about architecture as I didn't belong in this field.

That was not it. At first, I didn't have enough time; the deadline was near (which got postponed later), but I didn't check it and had to finish everything in a hurry as I got to know about this challenge two weeks before the deadline.

No challenges. No learnings

Winning Hero CoLabs eXPerience Challenge was not a cakewalk. The most challenging phase was learning the basics of architecture, business strategies that most top companies use while making their models, and adding new and innovative ideas to them.

It was all trial and error process. I tried various solutions. I would often question myself, "Does this not look good here? Oh! It doesn't fit here; maybe we can keep it somewhere else, or maybe there's no need for this."

All said I must say one who tries never fails. All teams were equally good and were in the Architecture field. I was the only MECHANICAL ENGINEER without any knowledge of buildings and architecture. But I feel content to see that how my hard work has paid off.

My parents were the happiest among all, and it was a proud moment collecting prizes with my family and gifting them to my father. The glare in my parent's eyes was the most memorable moment and shall always remain close to my heart.
