What is the selection process for doing an internship at Bata India Limited?
The selection process for bagging an internship at Bata India Limited was a bit on the easier side. It comprised of just one step: Personal Interview. Apart from the usual CV-Based questions, I had to elaborate on my past work experiences. I guess, an astounding CV coupled with my confidence made me sail through Bata India Limited’s selection side with the utmost ease.
What was my role during my internship at Bata India Limited?
During my internship at Bata India Limited, I could lay my hands on the domain of Product Marketing and Leads Generation. My basic responsibilities included Proposal Preparation, Conducting Events, and Researching about Recent Market Trends. The functionality attached to my role nudged me out of comfort zone and made me think out of the box. Overall, my internship at Bata India Limited was a stupendous experience.
What did I learn during my internship?
Some of the core learnings attached to my project were Leads Generation, Product Promotion Strategy and Visual Merchandising. Apart from the project-specific learnings, I could also improve my soft skills like Communication, Presentation, and Persuasion. The clients that I dealt with appreciated me for my effective and lucid presentation of ideas. This motivated me to push even harder and surpass my own limits.
What is the work culture at Bata India Limited?
Lucky, as many would say, I was one of those few individuals who got a chance to pursue their internship in their hometown itself. Preoccupied with our work, we had little time to go on official team outings. But that didn’t mean we lost out on the fun. We had lively, interactive sessions amongst ourselves during lunch hours. These were loaded with unlimited fun.
My internship at Bata India Limited was a journey full of memorable experiences. One of those is particularly close to my heart. So, the story goes like this: I had to brief the Global Heads of Bata India Limited about my project. This made me a bit nervous. I was literally shivering in the D-day while entering the room as nothing less than perfection was acceptable. Anyhow, I tried to shed all my inhibitions and started my presentation. I gained confidence slowly and steadily. Surprisingly, it turned out to be one of my best presentations to date. The way I conducted myself deeply impressed the seniors. It was simply a ‘WOW’ moment for me!
Given a chance, I would grab the opportunity to work with Bata India Limited in the blink of an eye. The amazing work culture coupled with immense scope for individual growth makes Bata India Limited my dream organization. The jewel in the crown is the tag that comes along with it!
What did I learn from my mentor during my internship?
My mentor was my support system during the course of my internship. I would like to give all credit to him for enhancing my Presentation Skills, Product Knowledge, and Briefing Methodology to Customers. The subtlety he exhibited in his thought process amazed me. He was my pillar of strength and I would forever be indebted to him for that.
To wrap up, my internship at Bata India Limited was an enjoyable, productive and informative experience. I am glad that I went ahead with my decision to pursue an internship at Bata India Limited. I certainly couldn’t have asked for anything more than this.
