How an internship at UsedYetNew highlighted the importance of professionalism and ownership | Sakshi's story
What is the selection process for an internship at UsedYetNew?
The selection process for an internship at UsedYetNew was fairly simple as it involved only 2 stages:
- Assignment
- Personal Interview
In the first step, I was given an assignment. I had to work on a problem to understand my scope and thinking ability. Then I went through a 45 minutes challenging interview. The focus of this revolved around the assignment and many other things related to business development. Basic knowledge in marketing and good communication skill is a must if you want to ace the interview.
What did I learn during my internship at UsedYetNew?
During my internship at UsedYetNew, I had to work in Marketing and Sales. My job was to call various customers, pitch the product to them. I had to convince them to buy it in a limited time frame. Time management and deep knowledge of the product is the most important factor if you want to strike a deal. I was able to develop my interpersonal communication skills to a whole new level. So, I had a newfound confidence when pitching ideas to other people.
The internship at UseYetNew was in Hyderabad only which meant I could avoid all the hassle of a journey. The organization was a bit far from where I stayed. The traveling, however, was quite smooth with the refreshing morning air blowing in my face.
What are the key takeaways from my internship?
The key point I learned was that professionalism is a must for working in any organization. Time management and ownership are the two factors that help you to complete your task with perfection. What I learned during my internship at UseYetNew took me above and beyond what I thought I knew about the Marketing and Sales world!
