What is the selection process for an internship at Bajaj Finance Limited?
The selection process for the Internship at Bajaj Finance Limited had the following components:
- Group Discussion
- Personal Interview
We had a campus pool drive for our internship selection at Bajaj Finance Limited (BFL). Students came in from different Bussiness-Schools from all over Pune. there were two parts of the process. The first stage was a group discussion. 15 students survived this round. The next stage was a personal interview. Only 3 people were selected for the two-month internship at Bajaj Finance Limited and I was lucky to be one of them.
What did I learn during my internship?
My role during my internship at Bajaj Finance Limited was to achieve operational excellence in HR Shared Services. I was able to develop my skills in Time management, Vendor management, Operations management, Analytical Thinking, Problem Solving, Process Streamlining, Planning, Projection, Execution, Teamwork, Systems & HR Audit among others. Developing these skills gave me a huge boost in my future works.
The title of the project assigned to me was: ‘Life does not pause at Bajaj Finance Limited, it keeps moving’. This project had me interacting with my manager a lot. This instilled motivation within me and convinced me enough that it was Bajaj Finance Limited that I wanted to join. I would definitely love to join Bajaj Finance Limited if given the opportunity. It is every management student's dream organization as it compensates its employees well. It has a good incentive structure and offers its employees a lot of opportunities to learn and grow. Bajaj Finance Limited makes sure that as a family, all its employees grow together.
What were the key takeaways from my internship?
During my internship at Bajaj Finance Limited, I worked from three different offices rotating as per the needs and requirements of the situation. So, I got to meet a lot of people. Further, vendor management was something that was something very new to me as was HR and system-process audit. For HR audits specifically, we traveled to the other side of the city for a week to the vendor's location. The few other memorable incidents were when I shouldered critical responsibilities and tasks during my journey and when the management trusted me by enacting the recommendations I made. Overall, it was a truly enriching experience.
My mentor was my pillar and support system for these 2 months at Bajaj Finance Limited. She turned my weaknesses into strengths. During the Internship at Bajaj Finance Limited I learned a lot of valuable lessons. I learned the value of hard work. To always be in high spirits, to always have a thirst for knowledge and to keep your spirits high, to keep in touch with the connections made and to constantly update and upgrade oneself were a few takeaways. These lessons helped me in shaping my personality and made me the person who I am today!
