Whether it is _VOIS Vantage 2019, Samsung E.D.G.E. 2019, TATA Steel-A-Thon 2019, or ICICI Bank Beat The Curve 2019, he has always been in the winner’s list. To celebrate his one of the latest wins of becoming the D2C Competitive Leader 2020, he is here sharing his journey towards it.

Becoming a D2C Competitive Leader 2020 is something I had aspired for at the start of the year. So it came as a pleasant surprise and was like a dream come true!

How I made the most of my MBA?

I started taking part in competitions because I wanted to make the most of my time at MDI. With time I realized that these competitions are an excellent way of knowing about different industries and companies. Gradually, I started enjoying every moment of it as all the competitions posed a different challenge altogether.

What kept me going?

I think I had a great team that helped me move forward and keep the spirit alive when things got difficult. Sakshi, Saransh and me (Team SMS) first took part in _VOIS Vantage by Vodafone Shared Services and ended up being the National Winners. After that, we did many competitions together. There was so much diversity in the team and still, we clicked so well. We enjoyed each other’s company and had complementary skills which helped us achieve success while enjoying our time together.

My two-year learnings

I would say that finding a good team wherein you complement each other well is crucial for succeeding in any competition. Speaking of competition, do not participate in it just for the sake of submission or prize money but for the learning and experience. Also, don't always look for fancy or out of the box solutions. Sometimes a basic idea or solution is what the company is looking for. At last, always remember that when the going gets tough, only the tough get going!
