Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL) is an Indian consumer goods company, a subsidiary of Unilever, a British-Dutch company. HUL's products include foods, beverages, cleaning agents, personal care products and water purifiers.

It has been in business since 1933 and over the years it has become one of the largest enterprises and a first-choice as an employer. HUL has been engaged in various student engagement initiatives and HUL FinAce 2017 has been one of them.

HUL FinAce 2017 was launched in 26th of Sep,17 and was open to both 1st and 2nd-year students from select campuses- IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Bangalore, IIM Calcutta, Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies, Mumbai, Indian School of Business and IIM Lucknow.

There were two rounds in HUL FinAce 2017- Campus Round and National Finale, however, the Campus round further included Elimination Round to choose the campus finalists.

Students were asked to register in the teams of 3 members and they were introduced to a case study in the Campus Round. The teams were given time to ponder, analyse, research on the case before getting interviewed by the panel of jury members.

Multiple entries from each participating campuses were evaluated by the FinAce Managers and one best team per campus was selected by the jury to participate in the National Finale.

The National Finale of HUL FinAce 2017 was held on 20th and 21st November 2017 where the top teams from 6 different campuses presented their solutions before the jury and upon evaluation, the team from IIM Calcutta was declared as the winner of HUL FinAce 2017.

The winner of the National Finale was awarded a cash prize of INR 200,000 along with the Final Pre-Placement Interview of Unilever Future Leaders Programme for 2nd-year students and Unilever Internship Leadership Programme for 1st Year Students. The Campus Winners received a cash prize of INR 100,000 with Prelim interview round of Unilever Future Leaders Programme to be a Management Trainee for 2nd-year student and Unilever Internship Leadership Programme for 1st Year Students.
