Imagine a scenario where 10,000 people applied and only 5 were selected! And now imagine that you are one of the top 5! What a feeling it was to know that you are among the top 5 from a crowd of 10,000 in HUL L.I.M.E. Season X. It was an assurance that we have chosen the right career path and our ideas make sense.

We had just started college and B-School competitions were the buzz of the town. We were hearing so much about these famed competitions but we knew very little about them. HUL L.I.M.E. Season X seemed like a fun competition and we saw no harm in giving it a try.

Preparation was very thorough in each round. We would spend nights thinking about one idea and going over it multiple times just to make sure it was feasible. The most challenging phase was the preparation for the grand finale because we got a new case study to work on. Now we had to look at everything from a completely new perspective. We gave it our 100% at every stage and it turned out to be a wonderful journey.

I remember a moment when even after working on the PPT for 6 hours straight, we discussed another idea for another hour at 4 in the morning though we were completely sleep deprived. The passion we had for the idea didn't make us realize how time went by.

My team was very helpful and I think, this is one of the most understated resources for winning a competition. Without sync within the team, even the greatest ideas can be shunned. Our team had almost a similar flow of thought. They would know what I meant even before I completed my idea. Conflicts did come our way because of the stress but we never had too many arguments. We used to brush them away and quickly went back to the brainstorming.

Our team's forte was creativity and research. We dug so deep into the topic that we discovered insights no one else thought of. We always presented our ideas in a minimal manner which was appreciated by the jury. They loved how we always spoke to the point and carried great creatives. We learnt a bunch of things such as presentation skills, thinking on the spot, creativity, teamwork, ideation, insight mining- the list is endless.

The best part about HUL L.I.M.E. Season X was the initial submission which was so easy to fill in. Post that, every round felt very professional and the learnings we gained are too immense to document.

The judgement was brilliant and the judges would also tell us where we were wrong post-winning so we could rectify those errors in the upcoming rounds. The whole structure of it was perfect and allowed you to meet brilliant minds from across the country. The organizers constantly pampered us. All in all, it was a fantastic experience that gave us a peek into the world of fame and frolic.
