Phase 1 of the IIT Delhi placements 2021, organized in December 2020, concluded with students bagging more than 925 job offers. The IIT Delhi batch of 2020-21 was chosen by 200+ companies for 250+ career profiles.
Due to the unprecedented global situation, the recruitment processes were conducted in a virtual mode this year. The students were prepared for their interviews in the digital mode, the use of technology has helped the colleges across the country to conduct interviews with ease.
Top recruiters of IIT Delhi placements 2021
The top recruiters that have hired from IIT Delhi this year include renowned names like Microsoft, Intel, Oracle, Tata Ventures, EXL Services, ICICI Bank, Goldman Sachs, HCL, Wells Fargo, and IQVIA.
Confirmed foreign offers have come from companies in Japan, Middle East, Singapore, South Korea, and Taiwan. So far, more than 20 students have received international offers. Several organizations with multinational activities have currently supported students for domestic positions. Depending on the circumstance, these may convert to foreign offerings.
Major highlights
Most of the students opted for offers made by the core companies of their domain. Computer science, mathematics, computing department’s students majorly opted for IT & analytics roles, whereas management students preferred managerial roles.
As of now, more than 400 organizations have registered to recruit for 675+ profiles. In Phase II of the placement season, which will begin at the end of January 2020, several recruiters are expected to employ students. The recruitment drive at IIT Delhi will continue until May 2021.
