IIT Madras MBA Placements: 100% MBA Graduates Placed, Average CTC INR 16.66 LPA

Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras’ Department of Management Studies has recorded a 100 percent placement rate for MBA graduates for the academic year 2021-22! Also, the institute has witnessed an increase of 30.35% in the average CTC.

IIT Madras MBA Placement 2022: Highlights

Here are the major highlights of the IIT Madras MBA placements:

16% of the total MBA pass-outs received pre-placement offers (PPOs) at firms they interned at.
The final average CTCs was recorded at INR 16.66 per annum.
A total of 26 companies participated in the recruitment drive, with 55 percent i.e. 14 companies being first-time recruiters.
Top recruiters included Deloitte, Amazon, ICICI, McKinsey, and CISCO.

Initiatives for IIT-M MBA Placements 2022

According to IIT-M’s official statement, various new initiatives were undertaken during this year’s campus placements that included -

Virtual campus placements were introduced, which made the recruiting process easy.
The placement drive witnessed a wider geographical range of participation due to virtual placement procedures.
IIT Madras’ alumni aided in the placement drive by guiding students.
Hybrid placements were given priority in order to incorporate recruiters around the country/world in a fast and efficient manner.

Dr. Rahul Marathe R, Faculty Coordinator (Placement) at DoMS, IIT Madras commented on the placement procedure,

“Overall, the placement process received active participation from companies across all domains, ensuring ample choice for the candidates to pursue careers in the field of their preferences. The diverse profiles offered by the companies to the batch is evidence of the quality and efforts of DoMS.We are grateful to the recruiters for reaffirming their faith in the talents developed by the DoMS MBA program.” he said.
