It's raining crore plus packages at IIT Kharagpur placements! As per the reports, IIT Kharagpur has bagged over 22 offers in the range of INR 0.9 crore-INR 2.4 crores. Here is a round-up of the IIT Kharagpur placement report.

During phase 1 of the IIT Kharagpur placements 2021, students have received 1600 job offers from coveted industry giants like Google, Microsoft, Micron Technology, Uber, Honeywell, and Excel.

The placement body recently reported that the institute had achieved this feat just in 10 days. The second phase of the placement is reported to begin from the second week of January 2022.

IIT Kharagpur Placements 2021: Major highlights

The IIT Kharagpur placements 2021 outperformed the 2019-20 placements record by placing 1500 students by the 7th day of this phase of placement.

Highest CTC: INR 2.4 crore
Pre Placement Offers (PPOs): 400+
The total internship offers: 800
Total numbers of offers made: 1600+
Total number of international offers: 35+
Number of participating companies: 245+
Number of students with INR 2 crore CTC: 2
Number of students with over INR 1 crore CTC: 22

Of the 1 Crore+ offers, 10 offers were rolled out from domestic companies and the rest by international firms. IIT Kharagpur has topped the game of placements. To date, it has made the highest number of offers and placed the highest number of students in the shortest time, among the giant IIT family.

Prominent recruiters

Domestic companies like Graviton, Rubrik, and Quantbox made 11 offers with annual salary packages of INR 1 Crore+ in this placement session. More than 100 companies like Qualcomm, Microsoft, Google, Uber, Intel, American Express, Honeywell, EXL, HUL, Samsung, IBM, Accenture Japan, Rubrik, and others pitched in to roll out 235 offers on day 1 of IIT Kharagpur placements 2021.

The average number of offers per company also increased across all sectors, including software, high-level coding, analytics, consulting, core engineering companies, banking/finance, high-frequency trading, etc.
